rotisserie chicken in the crockpot

i wasn’t kidding when i said that i’m obsessed with my crockpot this is my favorite recipe and tom really liked it…even though this was my second thing i cooked in the slow cooker. haha


  • 1 whole chicken — mine was 4.5 lbs
  • 2 Tbsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional – i didn’t put it in)
  • 2 Tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper


  1. mix all spices in a bowl
  2. adding 1/2 tsp water at a time, make a paste out of the mixed spices. be careful not to make it too liquidy
  3. clean chicken and take out the “extra” parts
  4. pat chicken dry
  5. time to get dirty — use your hands and massage the chicken, inside and out, with your paste
  6. put in crockpot
  7. cook on low for 8 hours

the meat will just fall of the bone!! i promise!
